Are there any use case studies for IPADs using cloud services for storage or other resources?

Metrics and data could include results and details

1. response time

2. network setup issues

3. latency and throughput

4. applications and databases used in study

The IPad has integrated wi-fi, so it can use cloud services. The functionality and productivity of the device is really dependant on the connectivity bandwidth behind the wireless signal it's using...not the device itself.

IPAD Wi-Fi model
    Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n)Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR technology
If you test 20 different IPADs in different locations, you will get 20 different results. If you want an inexpensive way to test out cloud services on the IPAD, just try Dropbox (sync storage in the cloud). They offer a free trial at dropbox.com.

It seems extremely early in the life of the iPad to find case studies, but it appears to be a natural and intuitive way to go. The network considerations brought up by the previous answer are certainly a factor that needs to be tested with your application, but it's one that will only improve over time.

The iPad is the current version of the old "dumb terminal".
