Whats is the best pricing model for a SaaS?

There are different pricing models for SaaS, like: freemium, charge per users, use different prices for features. In your opinion what are the pros and cons of each model? What is the best for you?

In my opinion the best pricing model is when the software charges per user and without any tiers (i.e. 5 users for XX, 10 users for XX). The tiered model is especially frustrating because if a company has 6 users for example, then they have to pay for 10.

It is also a must that there is a free trial period for users to test out the software before committing any money. It is a huge red flag for me if there is no free trial period.

I agree with Daniel views and it's always good to pricing models against a single user. Apps must enable users to have a free trail for certain duration which gives comfort to the end users on the overall value they persue out of the application
