Hi. I understand that Office 365 offers a cloud version of SharePoint, therefore eliminating the need for a local SharePoint environment/infrastructure set up and maintenance. Are there any difference between the standard on premises version of sharepoint and the one include with Office 365 ? Are there many technical limitations in Office 365 at present?

If you are considering migrating from SharePoint, you may want to consider a "SharePoint alternative" like HyperOffice. Your main benefit is that you get more functionality out of the box.
